Dairy free cherry almond milkshake

Dairy-free cherry almond milkshake. Made with bright red cherries, creamy almond milk and sweetened with dates.

Equipment

  • A blender.
  • 2 small glasses for serving.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup (250ml) almond milk.
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen sweet cherries (de-stoned.)
  • 1-2 pitted dates, (to sweeten.)

Instructions
 

  • Place the ingredients into your blender and blend until smooth.
  • Pour divided into 2 small glasses to serve.

Notes

For a thicker milkshake then try adding a few slices of frozen banana, a tablespoon of almond butter or 2-3 small frozen cauliflower florets to your recipe before blending.
Or you could add a couple of tablespoons of hemp seeds or flax seeds instead which will add some plant based omega 3.
Any of these ingredients will increase the nutrients of your milkshake too.
This recipe is also delicious made with frozen cherries and a drop or two of vanilla extract.
